Last year our club was a major supporter of Vintage with Love. We assisted by collecting and donating to Vintage with Love a huge amount of pre–loved and gently worn clothing , shoes and bags which were sold at a Vintage with Love event in Cape Town. Funds raised go to support literacy in South Africa – something close to the hearts of the Adele Searll Club and our members.
The SHINE organisation is one of the most active and highly successful projects in the area of improving child literacy.
In 2020 the Committee agreed to make SHINE a special Charitable Project and we have already funded and set up the first of hopefully a number of small libraries at SHINE reading centres.
