In times of lockdown

Donations in time of need

It has been widely reported that a number of our fellow South Africans are suffering badly during this lockdown and are especially struggling to put food on the table. Many organisations have stepped up to the challenge and are extending their usual support systems to provide meals to more people and children. As the schools are closed, many children are not only without schooling but also without school meals.

The Adele Searll 100 Club usually makes donations at the end of the year, however, the committee made the decision to help right now and has made donations on behalf of the members of the club to the following 3 locally active organisations:

  • U-Turn who are currently providing meals for homeless individuals and families.
  • HOPE Cape Town who are feeding 1000 children a day in Blikkesdorp
  • The Salesian Institute who provide support and shelter to vulnerable youths and children in our society.
