It was a “full house” at our August event at Zest Restaurant with futurist speaker Doris Viljoen.
Delicious food in the company of members and guests who enjoyed the beautiful venue. Doris Viljoen gave an insightful and riveting talk on future trends and developments, with lots of food for thought as we navigate into the future. Our talented bursar Sisanda Madwayi, who is studying a BA in Psychology at UWC, gave us an interesting overview of her year and excitedly announced she has been put on the Dean’s list, for a second year in a row. Chairperson Rebecca Harvie welcomed Gisela Schmidt as the Adele Searll 100 Club’s new secretary. Congratulations to all the raffle prize winners, looking forward to our next in-person event on 13th September, 17:00, with Speaker Ian Merrington who will focus on the impact of generative AI on South Africa and Africa.
