Our fabulous fundraiser lunch at Bellagio restaurant in Green Point, hosted by Chairperson Rebecca Harvie, with acclaimed political analyst Richard Calland, as speaker, beautifully introduced by our bursar Palesa Pahlana.
Richard shared insights around the 2024 elections in a broader leadership and global context, while deliberating on the political issues and predictions around the upcoming elections. After the delicious lunch, 100 Club member and Social Commentator, Lisa Sonn, wrapped up the afternoon by thanking the speaker and attendees for their support of our fundraising efforts, not only our Bursary fund, but also special project, to support South Africa’s representation at the 2024 Chelsea Flower Show in London – a privately funded initiative in a drive to increase South African tourism, and the grow the fynbos economy, which contributes greatly to skills development, job creation and education in our country.
