Just back from the Chelsea Flower Show, where the team from South Africa won a perfect Gold Medal and 2 other awards, Keith Kirsten enthralled the audience of Club members and guests with his account of the build up to the show and the gardening trends he experienced.
It was a privilege for the Adele Searll 100 Club to be part of the private sector initiative to support South Africa actually get to the Chelsea Flower Show and present the beautiful Cape Floral Kingdom to the World in London.
Not only did the team win the Gold Medal with perfect scores from the judges, they also won ‘Best Exhibit in the Pavillion’ and ‘Best New Design’
The event was held at the famous Norval Foundation art gallery and sculpture garden, a perfect setting matched with delicious eats and a celebration glass of Haute Cabriere bubbles.
