An inspiring morning with Ardmore at The Mount Nelson

At our first event of the year Fee Halsted gave a heart-warming and inspiring talk about her remarkable Ardmore journey. She shared her wonderful experiences over the years, as well as many soul-searching moments, both with the business and her family of artists. Fee was introduced by Bursar Palesa Pahlana.

Fee is a teacher at heart and her legacy rests upon the large number of artists she has mentored over the last four decades. Today the studio houses 80 African artists and is celebrated as an international brand.

It was a wonderful morning surrounded by beautiful pieces of Ardmore art, tableware, soft furnishings and fabrics. Extremely well attended, after the talk members and guests enjoyed coffee and tea in the conservatory and each received a proudly South African nougat delicacy from Wedgewood.

The raffle was again a great hit and congratulations to all the winners. In addition, we held our first Silent Auction for 2 Pine Kingfisher candlesticks, generously donated by Ardmore, all funds raised were donated to the Adele Searll 100 Club Bursary Fund.
